How do you get your heart pumping and your body sweating? Between sets on my exercises I love to do jump rope because it definitely keeps my heart rate up, gets me sweating, and provides me with cuts of lean muscle! My favorite sport is football and I played for a large portion of my life, from when I was little throughout high school and a year of college.

For someone who is just starting out and is feeling frustrated, what advice do you have? As a personal trainer I like to use workouts that are interesting and you don’t see everyday. I like to use the weighted ball a lot and do ball toss exercises for just about all muscle groups. I would also suggest if you’re working out alone and don’t like it, find a friend to work out with you or call me for some training sessions :)

How often do you workout? At home or the gym? I work out at least five days a week, Monday through Friday, and sometimes I do a light workout on the weekend. Usually I work out at the gym, but now that the weather is nice I will start working out on the beach.

When and why did you start taking fitness seriously? Fitness has always been a part of my life. When I was young my brother made it clear that it was time to get in shape. So, all through middle school and high school, I trained with him and broke off in college and started working out by myself. Being in the gym for so many years has taught me many things about exercises, form, diet, and nutrition.

We’re all busy adults here, so how do you make fitness fit into your life? No matter what I have to keep fitness into my life. It is now an addiction and if I miss days I feel bad. So, whenever I get the chance I fit it in whether it’s before work, after work or in between shifts. It is easy for me at the moment since I work at a gym! Even on vacation, I try to find some simple workouts to do because doing something is always better then doing nothing.

What motivates you? I love the results! Also, I love to show off what I have been working on. Being a model you need to always be in shape because you never know when a big gig might come across. My goals seem to change periodically. Sometimes I want to just get stronger, then sometimes bigger, or get more lean.

How do YOU stay motivated? What does your fit routine look like? If you’d like to share your experience, email us at harbingerfit@gmail.com.
